Years 7 to 10 participate in a Physical Development program "Boys to Men". It is a theory based program addressing changes and challenges confronting adolescents. The emphasis of the program is to inform students of their physical, mental and social health changes and provide coping strategies and resources available to address these issues.
Each lesson incorporates an oral and visual presentation as well as practical workshops. Students engage in group discussions, answer questions presented in an interactive PowerPoint and construct their own framework for dealing with health issues. When learning about ‘Personal Hygiene' students identify how to make healthy decisions and critically assess local health services. This program assists students in making day to day decisions and assists them as they move toward future employment.
