The Waratah Centre recognises that education and care of young people is a partnership between many people, significantly the school, the young person and the young person's carers or parents. As such, the Waratah Centre does not see itself as having the sole responsibility for the education of the students who are enrolled.
In order to promote this partnership the Waratah Centre will facilitate practices that will foster this relationship. These will include:
- All people being fully informed of significant issues occurring within the Waratah Centre
- All stakeholders will be given an opportunity to participate and be involved in significant decisions at the Waratah Centre
- The Waratah Centre will promote opportunities for students, parents and care-givers to contribute, support or express concerns about the programmes, policies and practices at the Waratah Centre.
