Student welfare is the core component of all policies and programmes at the Waratah Centre. It is recognised that students present a range of student welfare issues and the school will provide appropriate support and individual learning programs.
Enhancing student connection to school is essential. To achieve this it is recognised that school engagement is a major factor in promoting protective factors and developing resiliency for young people. Programmes at this centre work towards developing strong connections between the student and the school, school and home, school and the community.
